7ft What?

Well we worked more on the Lego tower. We ran out of the blocks that we were doing it with so we had to modify a bit and mix the colors on the rows a bit. Then we ran out of the big green boards so we made it with smaller boards. Had like 9 total I believe? Took almost all day it seemed to get it done but we finally got it done. Paul was excited. When was done it was done about all the way to the ceiling. Paul was able to put his transformers in each section. Had a blast with it. It actually lasted for awhile but it got smaller and smaller after so long. Was cool for awhile.

Lego Tower Begins!

Paul and daddy decided to build a lego tower with pauls lego’s. We started out by sorting his lego’s into piles of different blocks so could match the color on the rows. We did like 14 rows high on each section. That is alot of lego’s LOL. After each section we made it where the next would fit in so that he could take it apart and put back together if he wanted. We worked on it for a few hours but it was getting late so had to stop and let it wait till the next day.

Kayaking Trip

Well today was the big day. We watched the weather all week and chance of rain kept going down but, when we got up this morning it had went back up to 60% we were like crap! But we were DETERMINED! Was only day that we were able to meet up with some friend of ours that we don’t get to see very often. We met up with them at Wendy’s up in corydon as they didn’t know where we were going so had them follow us down.

Well got down there was kinda chilly still and over cast but we were not letting that stop us. I choose to go in the sit-inside Dagger that he had and Joe had to use the Sit-on-top with the jump seat in the back for paul. Kim and Allen both got the other sit-insides but there’s were more of the touring boat whereas mine was wider and more of a play boat but not.

Once we all had our boats the guy went through some tips and things with us so we knew where to stop and all at and so forth. We started off pretty easy. Kim had a bit of a time learning how to steer and how to control her boat but she did fine. As was her first time going out, Im sure next time she will be even better as she will have some experience and bit more trust that the boat isnt going to tip over on her.

While we were kayaking Kim caught 3 fish! Shes only person I know that can catch fish without a pole or net. Guess will need to get her a fishing license before the next time.. Was pretty funny they flopped over the front of her boat not sure how or why. Think she might have caught them with her paddle as she was going through. Sure did make for some laughs and a good time though.

The part we went down today we haven’t went down before but, it was a lot better then the part we went down last time as the water was constantly flowing so didn’t have to work nearly as hard to go down stream. In fact Allen would put his feet up and just lay back and float down stream.

Paul had a good time as well. He wasn’t to thrilled when water got on his face but he was excited after was past the part. He road on the sit-on-top with daddy for awhile then when we switched boats he sat in the sit-inside and then with me on the sit-on-top. He even helped paddle the boat for awhile. By the end though he was wore out and ready to go home. He passed out in the car on the way home.

I tried to get some good photos of the 4 of us and of the scenery around as it was very beautiful but most times we were at the part where the water was moving and was afraid that would get the camera wet so had to put it away. Allen’s camera got a bit wet at the very end but hopefully it will dry out and be alright. All in all I think everyone had a great time though, and when we get our own boats next year *hope* we want to go out more often.

Summer Is Almost Here

well looks like summer is trying to make an appearance. Had pauls tball practice tonight along with pictures. That was a chore trying to keep his black pants from getting gray dust all over them. Had to wipe them down with water to get the dust off for the most part. For once everyone on his team was there so that was a bonus. Two of the boys were not in uniform but parents were able to take them home and get them in uniform so could do the photos. Paul did very well he really pays attention and watches and tries to do what hes suppose to which im very proud of him for. He is swinging his bat so much better now that he has his new bat. He really enjoy’s playing. We got a few pictures of him with his team mates while doing photos where he was goofin around. If he decides this is something he wants to do I hope that we will be able to let him keep on going as far as he wants.

Paul brought these  home from school that he had made me for mothers day. He was super proud of his Flowers that he grew and the pot that he had made using his hand.Itwas super nice and really cool. I am not all that sure what type of flower they are but I hope that they will come back but i dont think they are that type but no matter if they dont I will just keep the pot and we can replant something else in it later. He also made the rainbow and the butterfly at school which he did really well. I am so proud of him. He has been doing painting here at the house also while ive been off and hes had a blast doing it.
