I finally was able to have a sunny day out so that I could get some pictures of the rocks and minerals that paul found while at the Falls of the Ohio last week.  I think some of them came out half way decent and such as it was very windy and the sun kept playing hide and seak with me lol. Im sure you will notice the pink heart on some as the camera was haveing difficulty focusing on some that were so small or because of the shadows moveing. The pink bubble wand made where it had something to focus on to get the photo.  There is all kinds of different rocks and such.

The first few photos are of the minerals they are brown almot look like bones or so.  Think did good job finding some good examples of them there. The ones that look like sea shells are the fossils which really shocked me. People were beating them with hammers an all kinds  of things but when i went to wash them off to clean them up they disinigrated to almost nothing. It seemed everyone was finding the purple stones around us but Joe an I kept finding the yellow alot lol. Did find a few amethyst that turned out to have some nice color to them.

I am thinking of makeing a shadow box or something for the nicer stones that we have found just not sure what just yet.

Paul has been working on writeing his name at school. He wrote his name without haveing it traced or anything for the first time tonight. Daddy even got it on video it is just so cool! He was just so proud of himself! Makes me wanna cry because he is just growing up so fast ;/ He isnt my little baby anymore hes my big boy… I can only imagin what he will be doing next.

Well we took paul back again to the falls of the ohio for the fossils day, They had mounds of rock and dirt and such for the kids to dig through to find stuff. Which was pretty cool I thought would be alot of fun but Paul would rather have played in the sand. Had pretty hard time getting him away to actually do the stuff instead of playing with the trucks in the sand.

Once we got him away from that it was alright.  We then went down to the beds where of course paul was all fired up to go go go! It was pretty neat seeing all the different things in the rock.  Went to the left instead of to the right this time where as last time you couldnt get to  the left. Walked all way up to the dams an seen that you could walk accross.. but that meant you had to walk in water that was up to your ankles… man was NOT expecting to be walking IN the water but it wasnt to bad. Water wasnt to cold so that was a good thing. One good thing was was not extreamely hot but was warm enough that was sweating and the cool helped cool us down.

We had to carry paul as we didnt want him to get his feet wet as he had his new shoes on… well was worth a shot!  About half way up the other side paul desided he couldnt walk no more he was “tired” lol so daddy ended up carrying him for a bit before he was up for walking again.  Oh and dont forget climbing! man he gonna be a lil rock climber when he get bigger!  Well as we had walked quite a distance we turned an came back lower as could see the arch that on of the guides had told us about. That was pretty neat but by that point paul was wearing down and didnt want us to take his picture so that was interesting.

I desided to take a turn carrying him as which i cant do the on the shoulder thing I carried him piggy back for a bit but gave him back to daddy when we went back accross the dam.  I made it accross without slipping but daddy didnt! He ended up slippin an him an paul both got wet up to there hip on the one side.. good thing i had the camera! Paul was NOT happy about that lol. We finally made it back up to the front and headed out as it was quite late and Paul didnt want do the digging again as he was “tired”

Well after a long day at the falls Paul just couldnt stay awake any longer. He wasnt in the car but few minutes and he was out for the count. We did good wakeing him up when we finally made it home. He made it to the couch before he was out again lol

well we took paul over to the electric company so that he could play on the blow up slide and bounce house that we heard about.  oh my goodness that thing was huge but paul had no fear at all he climbed right on up that thing and he had a royal blast on it. He was on it from 2:30 till after 5pm an still wanted to go full blast.  I thought that it was very nice of them to get that for the kids as i had never seen one quite as large but it was a total winner for the kids.
